This is not WeTheNorth. It is not run by the people who run the market, it has no connection to them, and nothing typed here reaches them. If you are looking for support, an account, an order or a dispute, none of that lives on a clearnet page. It lives on the onion, behind your own login.

The three addresses at the top of every page are published in the order the market publishes them. That order is not a ranking and none of the three is more official than the others.

Read the address, not the page it came from

Any page can print a string and call it the WeTheNorth address, including this one. What makes an address trustworthy is not the site you found it on. It is that the same string turns up in more than one place that has no reason to agree, and that the login screen you land on shows you the address you typed.

So compare. Open a second source you did not get from here. Line the strings up. If they match end to end, you have something worth pasting. If they differ by a single character, neither one has earned your password.

Why the word verified means very little

In this corner of the internet the word gets printed on almost everything. A screenshot can say verified. A forum post can say verified. A page with a green tick can say verified. None of that is a check you performed, and none of it survives contact with a wrong character in position forty.

The only verification that protects you is the one you do yourself, in the address bar, a second before you type anything into a login form.

If something here looks wrong

Addresses change. A string that was correct last month can be retired, and a page that has not been touched since then will keep showing it. Take the list from the top of this page each visit rather than from a note you saved, and treat any address you cannot corroborate as unverified until you can.
